Welcome to getting the wedding dress of your dreams.  My clients find me because they want something different, a non-traditional style that they don’t see in a wedding dress catalogue, or a unique period look. I offer you the experience of getting a couture gown built just for you. Everything I make is customized to your measurements and specifications. I hand draft original patterns, select buttery fabrics, build in corseted structure, and do fine hand finishing techniques to wrap you in an exquisite piece of fashion.  Let me to bring your ideas and creativity to life.

The process starts with a free in-person consultation, which is your chance to to share images and to talk about what you are looking for, while I can ask questions, present options and get to know you better. If you want to move forward, I ask for a design deposit so I can create a series of dress sketches for you to choose from. Once we agree on a design, I will give you a written estimate and contract. I then guide you through choosing the perfect fabrics and trims to realize your vision.

It takes one muslin mock-up fitting, and 2-3 fittings in actual fabric to finish a custom fit gown. It is best to bring your wedding shoes, and the undergarments you are planning to wear to the fitting. The beauty of a custom dress is that it will fit you perfectly when it is finished so there is no need to spend time and money on alterations. I can make accommodations for out of town clients and do some remote video fittings, but I strongly prefer to have at least 2 in person fittings. I could even do two fittings in one weekend if necessary.

The cost of a custom wedding dress varies widely based on the fabric, style, structure and details of the dress. Typical prices range from $1500-$4500. Did you know that lace is one of the most expensive and time consuming fabrics to work with? You may find that an all over lace dress may be out of your price range, but that well placed lace in the bodice of your dress will make a large impact for a smaller expense. I will work with you to make design choices that fit into your budget while still capturing the dress you want to wear on your wedding day.
